"Adaptability: The Art of Winning In An Age of Uncertainty" is written by Max McKeown and published by Kogan Page. Author McKeown has written six books and is a speaker and strategist, as well as having been elected to the Customer Service Hall of Fame.
Adaptability, he says, is a key trait of human beings. Our ability to adapt, cope and change is what has enabled humans to survive. But adaptability is good for more than just surviving. The overall lesson of the book is that you don’t have to adapt or die as if there isn't any other choice. You can adapt and thrive because you HAVE choices.
McKeown uses cases studies in the book, such as the Levi Strauss company, to get his points across. He takes complex ideas and simplifies them in a way that gets you excited about implementing them. This books is for a broad audience: business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, managers and employees.
Adaptability is organized into three parts:
Chapters 1 – 6: Recognizing the need to adapt
Chapters 7 – 11: Understand necessary adaptation
Chapter 12-17: Adapt as necessary
