Founded in 1998 by Paul and Davina Morgan-Witts, the site attracts more than 300,000 visitors each month. These readers may not have the time to wade through bookstores or huge online databases to find worthwhile books to read, and they want to read more than just the same old bestsellers that everyone else is reading.
One of the site's features, "BookBrowse for Libraries," helps patrons of libraries get in-library and remote access to all of BookBrowse's premium content, including e-magazines and thousands of handpicked readalikes. This is a subscription-based service.
The site's online magazines include previews of books, reviewers' insights, and "behind the scenes" details about the authors and books.
